North Vernon traffic stop leads to multiple drug, dealing charges

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Officer Jessiah Watts conducted a traffic stop in the 00 block of N. State St. During the course of the traffic stop, a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle operated by Zachary Ryan Clark, 32, of North Vernon.

The search resulted in the discovery of multiple evidentiary items, which led to Clark’s arrest.

Clark was transported to and booked into the Jennings County Jail on the following preliminary charges:
 Dealing in methamphetamine — Level 5 felony
 Dealing in marijuana — Class A Misdemeanor
 Possession of methamphetamine — Level 3 felony
 Obstruction of justice — Level 6 felony
 Possession of marijuana — Class B misdemeanor
 Possession of paraphernalia — Class C misdemeanor
 Driving while suspended — Class A infraction

Clark had previously been released from jail on his own recognizance in connection with a previous pending charge. He is now being held on a $20,055 bond.
