Registration opens for 'Moonlight Loop' bike ride benefiting Columbus Animal Care

COLUMBUS, Ind. - Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (FCACS) invites you to ride in the 2026 "Moonlight Loop" to benefit Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS). Registration is now open for the 19-mile evening bike ride through Columbus.

The ride will take place on Saturday, August 22, at 9 p.m. and will start and finish at the Bartholomew County Library Plaza.

The registration fee is $35 per rider, now through June 30. The cost will increase to $40 from July 1 to August 21, and will be $45 on the day of the event. Sign up now, here.

The Moonlight Loop is a police-led, SAG-supported night bike ride. The roads will not be closed to traffic, so riders must obey all road rules. All participants are required to wear helmets and have a working headlight and taillight on their bikes.

Even though the Moonlight Loop is a ride and not a race, riders should be able to maintain a pace of at least 10 mph to keep them from getting too spread out on the route.
