SEYMOUR, Ind. - Schneck Medical Center was recently awarded "Magnet" designation for the fifth time by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), an honor recognizing excellence in nursing and high-quality patient care.
Magnet designation is achieved by fewer than 10% of hospitals nationwide. Schneck is one of only 16 healthcare organizations in Indiana that are Magnet-designated.
Hospitals that attain Magnet status are known for higher patient satisfaction, improved clinical outcomes, and a positive work environment for team members.
Schneck Medical Center first achieved Magnet designation in 2006, and each re-designation reflects an evaluation process that includes detailed documentation, site visits, and performance metrics demonstrating sustained excellence.
