Franklin's 'Strawberries on the Square' Festival postponed

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The annual Franklin "Strawberries on the Square" Festival, originally set for Friday, May 22, has been postponed until Saturday, May 30, due to the forecasted heavy rain.

Due to rescheduling the event, Discover Downtown Franklin will combine Strawberries on the Square with the Opening Day of the Franklin Farmers Market on Saturday, May 30 at the Downtown Franklin Amphitheater.

The Franklin Farmers Market will run as scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon with Strawberries taking place 10am-8pm. 

The Strawberries on the Square festival will still be offering:

  • Fresh strawberry shortcake ($6 cash/$6.25 card) served 10am–8pm (or until sold out!)
  • Free festival admission
  • Live music all Day (bands TBA)
  • Free balloon art (times TBA)
  • Free glitter tattoos (times TBA)
  • Food trucks/vendors (TBA)
