JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that speed limit will be raised on State Road 3 near Vernon.
The speed limit will be increased from 30 mph to 40 mph in the area around the S.R. 3 and State Road 7 intersection south of Vernon.
This change follows a traffic study in the area. The speed limit changes are expected to take place on or after Tuesday, August 25.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
