State Road 3 closure rescheduled to mid-June

VERNON, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will now close State Road 3 on or after Monday, June 15. The work, originally scheduled for June 1, was postponed due to the weather.

State Road 7 will reopen between Vernon and Dupont before the closure of S.R. 3.

Crews will close S.R. 3 between South County Roads 50E and 125S to complete a box culvert replacement project south of Vernon.

S.R. 3 is expected to reopen in mid-July, weather permitting.

The detour follows S.R. 7 to S.R. 56/62, to S.R. 256, and then back to S.R. 3.
