VERNON, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will now close State Road 3 on or after Monday, June 15, instead of June 1st, due to weather. S.R. 7 will reopen between Vernon and Dupont prior to S.R. 3 closing.
Crews will close S.R. 3 between South County Road 50 East and East County Road 125 South to complete a box culvert replacement project south of Vernon.
S.R. 3 is expected to reopen in mid-July, weather permitting. The detour follows S.R. 7 to S.R. 56/62 to S.R. 256 back to S.R. 3.
