SEYMOUR, Ind. - Wings Over Muscatatuck, the annual spring migratory bird festival, is at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Seymour on Saturday, April 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., hosted by and supporting the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society.
Everyone can enjoy this free, fun day at the Refuge, filled with birding, nature, children's, and art activities. You can also explore spring by hiking one of the nature trails.
There will be a Sandhill Crane program, a live Rapture presentation, a Kids Bird House building, a Bird Cake Walk, a native plant sale, a silent auction, and the opportunity to visit the Visitor Center book/gift shop.
Bring your art supplies and join noted artist Maureen Pesta for a "Plein Art Paint-Out." Artists of all skill levels can create a work of art outdoors in natural light, capturing the Refuge’s natural beauty.
Attendees can also purchase a lunch of smoked wings, pulled pork, and hot dogs cooked onsite by the Refuge Staff.
